Fresh Spring picks

Do April showers bring May flowers? The jury's still out on whether or not that's true for the DMV, but it is at least starting to warm up considerably. We may be skipping Spring weather and hopping straight into summer here, but since it is still technically spring, I'm sharing some fresh picks from this past month; the things I'm currently living in and loving at the moment here in quarantine. While the majority of this is Under Armour I did throw in some non-running things I've been picking up this past month.
The day to day trainer

Full disclosure I'm definitely not into the chunky shoe trend. I tend to like a more lightweight shoe that's responsive and where I can feel the way my foot hits the ground.
That's why Sonic 3 has been my shoe of choice since they came out this past year. Even though I'm not running right now and the majority of my day is spent inside this is the shoe I pop on to go walkabout specifically the white one.
The go-to Bra for running, lounging, and everything in between
At the moment one of my favorite clothing items from UA is the new Infinity sports bra line.

It's supportive without feeling restrictive and comes in punchy spring colors.
It also comes in a range of support options which is nice for people like me who don't need a ton, but like the option of having a slightly more robust option.
Pictured is the UA Infinity Low. I also have two of the mid option which features a bit more support via straps and a clasp feature to tighten or loosen things up.
My go-to outfit these days is a hoodie thrown over one of these and some sweats, like these recovery ones.
Recovery goods
Speaking of recovery I'd been eyeing this loungey recovery short for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger since recovery is basically my life right now for the next six weeks. Like the rest of UA's recovery line, they're a super soft material perfect for sleeping in or in my case wearing all-day.

Coming Clean
For the past year and a half, I've made a big push to clean out and go through all the personal care products I use in terms of what's in the ingredient list and doing my homework on what those chemicals actually mean. When buying new products I've made the push to go organic, cruelty-free, and fair-trade when applicable as I've slowly phased out of the products I used to buy. Part of this big switch came from frankly being pretty horrified at some of the ingredients in everyday products, especially ones you've used your whole life without questioning its safety toward your health.

The last things I needed to really go through was makeup that I'd been holding onto and since were in quarantine and makeup isn't something I'm using for the foreseeable future (or really use that much of in general) I finally dumped all the bad stuff out.
Some of my new replacements include 100% pure's caffeine eye cream, this all-natural shea butter, and Pacifica mascara.
Move over Mimosa's

I'll admit I was skeptical. I was a nonbeliever. How could I ever possibly enjoy a PBR?
Well, the clouds have parted and I've seen the light.
I am now obsessed with Pabst Blue Ribbon Hard Coffee.
Moving on from quarantine cocktails of Negroni's and Mojito's I've moved on to what may be the perfect brunch drink; hard coffee. It's the latest adventure in alcoholic beverages riding on that whole spiked seltzer craze (I honestly hate the smell of Truely's).
After seeing it in stores and reading reviews online that were mostly positive. I decided it was worth at least a try. Still skeptical I blended it up with some ice to make a frap. I had the perfect boozy brunch drink that best of all did not taste anything like PBR or alcohol for that matter, just coffee.
While this isn't going to be a regular fixture in my weekend routine it's definitely one worth trying. Blend it for a frappucino-y vibe or straight out of the can.
Well that's all I've got right now, but stay tuned for another round of Healthy at home this coming week
Stay healthy & stay safe
